  1. Joanna, Your blog is wonderful. Would you like to teach either a 6 hour or 3 hour poetry class at my new venture – The Writing Pad in Beit Zayit?? Let’s get together. Judy

  2. How lovely it was to be led to your website!
Wishing you much success with your work here in the U.S.! Warm regards from Tali, your not-so-old friend from high school…

  3. Joanna,
We share a friend in common. Avy had you meet us at the restaurant in Charlottesvile where we were all having dinner. The curator of Monticello and her husband, my partner Ray and my nephew Drew were all there. I very much enjoyed meeting you. Avy had told me a lot about you before hand. Very enthusiastic! She was right, and my only regret was that we did not have more time to talk. I trust Avy’s enthusiasms after a good friendship of many years.
It was a pleasure reading your blog posts and as a photographer, I admire your photographs. Having had the VCCA experience myself a number of years ago, I share your enthusiasm. It does allow one to live life more immediately without the interruptions of everyday. It is a gift. And I too have a couple of friends from there with whom I still correspond.
Your time is running down, but I know you will return home with new insights and a new enthusiasm.
I do hope that our paths will cross again. Now with your friendship with Avy, perhaps you will come to see us all in Maine!
    Travel safely,
    Walter Smalling
